Wrongfully Desired

No matter how glamorous some may portray their life to be there is always a behind the scenes battle happening.

No one is above being tempted by Satan. That marriage you are coveting with all the lovely Facebook pictures and romantic tweets on Twitter has at some point been under attack.

That new car that your neighbor has parked in the driveway is not the epitome of a perfect life. That job that pays six figures your friend is always bragging about comes with a load of stress and sleepless nights.

No one is exempt from trouble. Jesus is clear in John 16:33 “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

All of us have struggles we don’t want to surface. No one talks about all of the mishaps, and do overs that takes place behind the scenes but that doesn’t mean misfortune and hardship has never happened.

Let’s keep it real, Satan does not want you to have the life Jesus wants to give you and He does everything in his power to make sure you fail but God is also working hard to make sure his plans for your life come to fruition.

God wants you to fulfill your dreams. He wants you to be complete and whole! He wants you to have a close relationship with him.

If you have a coveting spirit repent and ask God to forgive you for breaking His commandment. He wants to give you the desires of your heart but you have to look to Him. Remember, “God withholds no good thing from them who walk uprightly” (Psalm 84:11).

Let your desires be geared towards the things of God and He will bless you according to His perfect will.
