Evening Prayer: Problem Solver

Dear God, although money can solve many of our financial problems it is not a problem solver. We are so grateful for Jesus who is able to solve every problem we encounter.

It is often said if I only had money everything will be alright. God we know that having money and not having you will always leave us empty and we will not be alright.

Merciful Father don’t get me wrong, money plays a very important role in our daily lives. We need it to pay our bills, purchase grocery, and for the necessities of life, but we don’t need it to live an abundant life. All we need is you.

There are people who have an abundance of money but are not living their best life. Some are over worked and has no time for family and friends. They are very unhappy.

There are rich people who are bed ridden and sick. Some who are depressed and sad. If money could solve their problem they would give every penny of what they have.

So God on this evening give us a desire to seek you. Help us to realize money is not a problem solver, Jesus is! Lord you entrust us with money to be good stewards over it. Not to be boastful and inconsiderate.

Psalm 20:7 says, “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” God we are grateful you are the creator of everything and you know the destruction that comes with the love of money.

So I ask Father that you will lead us and guide us. May our desires be not to love money but to love you.

This evening we repent of putting money, houses, and cars before you. Help us to seek you first in every area of life. This is my prayer in Jesus name. Amen
